Alice Rouse
Alice Rouse bring 40 years of newspaper experience to the Murray-Calloway County Community Foundation Board. She retired as publisher of the Murray Ledger & Times in 2014, having served previously as general manager and bookkeeper. During her newspaper tenure, she was a member of the Kentucky Press Association Board and served as president in 2006.

Rouse is a newly-elected member of the Murray City Council and a member of the Rotary Club of Murray, where she was named a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotarian of the Year in 2008.

The Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce awarded Rouse the Citizen of the Year in 2004 and Woodmen of the World named her an Outstanding Citizen in 2006. She is also a Kentucky Colonel and a graduate of Leadership Murray.

Rouse is a member of the boards of the Murray-Calloway Economic Development Corporation and the Murray-Calloway Industrial Development Authority. She has previously been a board member of the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce, the Murray Woman's Club and the Murray-Calloway County Park. She was named a local hero of the Susan G. Komen BMW Unlimited Driving Paducah in 2008.

Rouse studied at Brescia College in Owensboro, Kentucky. Alice has been married to Bill Rouse for 48 years and has two sons, Justin and Jason. She is a member of First Baptist Church.Her reason for joining the MCCCF was to be a part of an organization that plans for the future of our community.
